Participants took part in an impromptu speaking activity. The purpose is to warm up their vocal chords. This stage was conducted using a set of computer generated images. The participants spoke as the pictures appeared in front of them. Each image was shown for 30 seconds before changing to the next picture. This activity was completed after 6 pictures.
Participants were given 10 minutes to prepare for a 5-minute zoom presentation on the topic of “Living in a Covid-19 Pandemic”. A sample script was provided to the participant to modify and adapt for their own usage. They were encouraged to generate ideas from their personal experiences instead of reading off the given script.
Upon receiving feedback from the previous stage (refer to stage 4), participants were required to consider the feedback given to improve on their oral presentation in stage 5. Participants were given another 10 minutes to improve and edit their 5-minute speech to prepare for a TedX Style presentation on the topic of “Living in a Covid-19 Pandemic”.
